  • Charles A. was charged with selling pirated DVDs after he was allegedly found in possession of more than 350 copies of movies in the trunk of his car.  The entire case was dismissed by the Court at the conclusion of the preliminary hearing.
  • Jose T. was charged with felony resisting arrest after allegedly fighting with law enforcement officers.  At the conclusion of the defense case in the preliminary hearing, the Court dismissed all charges.
  • William T. was charged with felony child molestation after reports were made that there was inappropriate contact between he and a minor child.  Investigation before the preliminary hearing led to the charge being reduced to a misdemeanor, with a “Time Served” sentence.
  • Lance H. was charged with attempted murder after a domestic dispute with his wife. Prior to the preliminary hearing, investigation into his mental condition and accompanying medications led to a negotiated plea for “Time Served” to a significantly lesser charge.
  • Marcy H. was charged with carjacking, kidnapping, and assault with a deadly weapon. Investigation before the preliminary hearing produced a sufficient defense, resulting in the entire case being dismissed.
  • Gerry H. was charged with selling narcotics for the benefit of a criminal street gang.  After thorough cross-examination of the District Attorney’s Gang Expert during the preliminary hearing, the Court dismissed all gang allegations.
  • Kevin B. was charged with committing a burglary for the benefit of a criminal street gang. By presenting a vigorous defense during the preliminary hearing, the Judge dismissed the gang allegation.
  • Jeff L. was charged with first degree robbery after he allegedly entered a motel room and assaulted the occupant before taking his wallet and fleeing out the rear window. Case dismissed before the preliminary hearing.
